Montagne Jeunesse… good for your skin, your wallet and the earth!

I got the Cucumber Peel Off Mask in my Holiday Voxbox from Influenster. I absolutely loved the mask because it made my skin feel so fresh and smooth afterwards. I felt like my skin was born again! I love that the company did not test this on animals and they are a vegetarian company. For me, these are important things. Their products are also free of parabens. As a general rule I try to avoid parabens in cosmetics and anything else I use.

Here are pictures I took of the packaging:

The package has instructions on it which were pretty easy to follow. After 20 minutes I got to peel the mask off my face. This was pretty fun to do, actually. I made the mistake of applying the mask on my eyebrows and peeling it off was VERY painful. I recommend that you pull your hair back and don’t apply it around your eyebrows or the general eye area.

The mask was a translucent green gel that you apply all over the face (AVOID THE EYEBROWS). one thing I did not really like was the smell of the mask; it smelled like pickles. It was however very effective at unclogging my pores.

Out of 5 stars, I will give Montagne Jeunesse: Cucumber Peel Off a 4.5 PLUS an extra .2 points for having a pretty cool name which brings the rating to a 4.7.

I received imPress Press-on Manicure from Broadway Nails (through Influenster’s Holiday Voxbox) to try. my design is Lil Drumr Grl which is a zebra print on a hot pink base.

First off, I thought the packaging was really cute. There was a nail polish bottle with nails inside.

The back of the package also had instructions:

Also inside was a an alcohol prep pad to prep the nails with. I took out nails that would fit my natural ones and removed the adhesive plastic from the back of the nails and applied firmly.

Here are my results:

I recommend filing down the tips because at first they do peel off a bit. There is tip wear bt again, filing them down will be much better. Personally I do not wear press-on nails, or artificial nails at all, but I really like these because of how simple it is and how there are many prints out there. I love the design I received from Influenster because I have always wanted to do a zebra print manicure but I did not have any nail stampers to do the print with but now I have these awesome Press-ons from Broadway nails.

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine Review + Swatch

I was very excited to get this in the mail because I have used NYC nail polish before and I love this brand because they have awesome color selections for a very affordable price.

From New York Color’s website (http://www.newyorkcolor.com)  the Liquid Lipshine is described as follows:

Straight from the city that never sleeps, NYC New York Color offers products with uptown style at down-to-earth prices, from $.99 - $4.99. The energy, style and color of New York City shines through the wide range of shades, textures and innovative products. NYC always delivers the most on-trend products & shades hot off the runway!

A beauty-editor favorite is Liquid Lipshine ($2.49). It has pure pigments that created a 3-D gloss effect. Vitamin E provides shine and a moisturizing feel. The formula is non-sticky, super shiny & soft. Available in 10 on-trend shades from neutral nudes, to berries & fuchsias. Start shopping for NYC at these stores nearest you: Walmart, Target, Rite Aid, CVS, Family Dollar, Duane Reade, Kmart, HEB, and others.  Visit newyorkcolor.com to check out all shades and fun products from New York Color!

There are 10 shades in total and the one I received from Influenster was Nude York City (582). I love the smell of this gloss. It smells like marshmallows or cupcakes.

The color is a sheer nude with gorgeous shimmer. The gloss comes in a cute tube and the applier is a wand. The wand actually bends a little bit which is good for the little corners of your mouth. The bottle says it is non-sticky which is true but if applied too much, it can get a bit sticky. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cheap lip gloss with a lot of color payout.

You can also layer this color because ii is a bit sheer. It will look really pretty over a nude lipstick.

 Here are some pictures:

Le tube

The wand applicator. Innit pretty?

Swatch of the color on my lips

DISCLAIMERS: I received NYC (New York Color) Liquid Lisphine in my Influenster Holiday Voxbox to review and this in no way affects my opinion of the product. All of the pictures in this post are mine unless otherwise stated.

Candy Cane Nails

Hey all!

Asa here.

Sorry we haven’t been updating. We’ve both been overwhelmed with wayyy to much stuff. :(

I have a bio exam, essay due, math homework, math project, dfkndkgfhfh. It’s too much. We both are in desperate need of a break.

But hopefully this will make up for it? Maybe? *offers cookies*

Anyways, let’s get down to business. To defeat the huns

This is the pic of le nails WITH flash. I used cutepolish’s nail tutorial and added two different glitters because I can and I’m fabulous it would look super pretty!

I love glitter so much guys.

SO
MUCH

Here are the colors I used in order:

3 coats Everybody Loves Redmond (Wet n Wild fast dry), a white striper (I’m not sure what brand), Star Light (holographic glitter suspended in a clear base from L.A colors), and Sassy Sparkle (pinkish yellow teal sparkles suspended in a clear base, also from L.A. Colors).

Sorry for the blurry picture

:|

Here’s a pic of my nails WITHOUT flash:

me gusta

I wanted to show you a super close up of the glitter but I’m sleepy and I have school tomorrow.
